Calling all culture lovers, art collectors and creatives come and connect at the late night opening on Esher High Street.

Join us for a late night opening with refreshments and nibbles on the last Thursday of August. The Blue House Art Social have developed into a regular fixture in our calendar.

After taking a break from our monthly art social in July, we are back in August with music and conversation with local singer-songwriter and musician Peter Prowse.

We are always delighted to see familiar and new faces, strengthening bonds within our community and sparking collaborations that we’re eager to see unfold. It’s these connections that form the heart of Blue House, and we’re grateful to everyone who contributes to our collective spirit.   RSVP here

This month we invite you to a conversation with artist Sasha DeWitt. An oil and cold wax artist, she will talk about sourcing her own pigments from the landscape of Surrey and how she incorporates these into her work.

Enjoy two hours of art exploration in watercolour (and complimentary materials), where you will: 

- develop your creativity (from any starting point)

- be free to experiment

- work on your watercolour technique and general art skills. 

The focus of this class, led by artist Parul Tolentino, is to learn through play & experimentation, develop creativity, build confidence for making art, be mindful & have a lovely morning. 

Research has proven that there are beneficial outcomes from creating art regularly so join me weekly until the end of June 2025.

All materials are provided for this creative workshop. Aprons are not provided, please bring an apron or overshirt. Small groups.

Surrey Artist Open Studios

June 7th - June 22nd 2025

Tuesdays - Sundays 11am - 5pm

Visit our welcoming artist-led working gallery in the heart of Esher, showcasing seven contemporary and unique artists. Engage with the artists themselves discover the stories behind their work and enjoy creative paintings and handmade jewellery in a relaxing environment.

As you wander through the gallery, you’ll experience a diverse array of artistic expression. From bold abstract paintings to delicate watercolours that capture the emotion and ideas of our time. You can discover more about the affliated artists and visiting artists here.

We would be delighted to welcome you to the opening night of the SAOS at Bluehouse, on Friday the 6th June from 5.30 to 8pm and have first peek and dibs on the artwork on display. Join the seven established artists whose work is collected nationally and internationally; Binu Chaudhary, Karen Crompton, Jan Dagley, Jude Smith, Mary-Ann Lord, Parul of the Sea and Sasha DeWitt to celebrate the start of the event

Open studio Sunday

Open Studio Sunday

Art collectors and the creatively curious are welcome into BlueHouse for the last Sunday of each month to discover new works by local artists. It’s the perfect place to buy your first original artwork or to add to your collection with small and large works available by a number of artists working in a range of mediums from oil, acrylic, watercolour, sculpture and more.

Come along to your local high street, catch up with friends and support a local small businesses.

At BlueHouse artspace on 28 High street, Esher you will find:

- Art for  gifts : This will also be a chance to spend time seeking out the perfect gift with a coffee in hand as there will be a large collection of smaller sized artworks in varying styles to choose from. 

- Art lesson vouchers : You can also purchase vouchers for art lessons for friends or family who would appreciate a creative gift experience. 

Enjoy a relaxing morning surrounded by art, coffee and cookies and perhaps get the chance to meet the artist too.

This month our creative speaker Niamh Tracey Smith, the founder of Wellness Initiative Secret Garden Tribe.

Niamh is the founder of Wellness Initiative Secret Garden Tribe will be giving a talk Feel Better, Move Freely: A Wellness Talk on the evening. Listen to Niamh talk about her deeply intergrative approach to healing, helping people reconnect with their bodies, ease chronic tension and cultivate long-lasting well-being.
