Visual poetry workshop

In this workshop we’ll experiment with several different techniques that can help to quieten down those negative voices and allow us to have fun, push boundaries and in general enjoy creating interesting, inky works using written words, asemic writing and gestural mark making.

During the morning session we’ll use meditation, drawing with our eyes closed and responding to the space we’re in as ways to get us started. Plus many other activities to push us into really exploring ways to encourage an openness to trying new things.

In the afternoon we’ll shift to creating sketchbooks and artists books, then working back into them to create multi-layered exciting visual recordings of our time in the workshop.
